"Y" I WALK 2027 Fundraiser

Y I WALK

2027 Community Support Campaign Fundraiser

Five days. Hundreds of miles. All of our YMCA branches.

From Oct. 12-16, Joe Ross will trek across the YMCA of Metropolitan Chattanooga’s service area, stopping at each of our YMCA branches along the way.

This five-day journey is about more than the miles. Joe is walking to raise awareness and support for the programs, services and experiences that make each YMCA unique — and that help strengthen individuals, families and communities across our region.

These programs are made possible by our YMCA's Community Support Campaign – an annual fundraising campaign that supports free swim lessons for children, free disease and chronic illness management programs, summer camp scholarships, income-based memberships and MORE.

Every dollar raised provides more opportunities for people in our community to learn, grow and thrive.

YOUR IMPACT

Your gift can help make life-changing experiences possible for people throughout our community. Examples of where the funds raised through this event, and the overall Community Support Campaign go are:

Swim Lessons — $60

Gives a child four swim lessons at the YMCA, and teaches them life-saving skills that keep them safe around water.

Meals for Kids — $175

Provides weekend meals for five children in our community through the YMCA's Backpack Blessings Program.

Adaptive Sports — $200

Offers three individuals with disabilities the chance to play the game of baseball with the Miracle League of Chattanooga.

Youth Mentorship — $1,500

Supports a middle or high school student with six months of Y-CAP programming, providing mentorship, tutoring, physical activity, leadership opportunities and more.
