Whether you are a lap swimmer looking for fitness or someone in need of swimming lessons, we have programs and facilities for you. Be sure to browse through our program offerings to find out the latest availability.

 

POOL HOURS: 

  • Mon-Thurs:  Lap Pool, 5 am - 9 pm; Teaching Pool, 6 am - 9 pm
  • Fridays: Lap Pool, 5 am - 8:30 pm; Teaching Pool, 6 am - 8:30 pm
  • Saturdays: Lap Pool, 7 am - 5:30 pm; Teaching Pool, 8 am - 5:30 pm
  • Sundays:  Lap Pool, 9 am - 4:30 pm; Teaching Pool, 10 am - 4:30 pm

Please note that pools close 30 minutes prior to facility close time.

ADAPTIVE SWIM

OPEN SWIM:

Red Wristbands

  • Children ages 13 and under must have a parent/guardian in the immediate pool area.
  • Must wear a Coast Guard-approved PFD and remain in the shallow end.
  • Children not in a PFD must have an adult actively supervising them in the water within arms reach: 1 adult per child required.
  • Children 4 and under must be accompanied in the water by a parent/guardian

 

Green Wristbands

  • Children ages 10 and under must have a parent/guardian in the immediate pool area.
  • Children ages 11-13 must have a parent/guardian in the facility.
  • Children 14-17 may use pool without parent/guardian supervision.
  • May swim in the shallow end and deep end.

NOTE: Must pass swim test annually.

 

SWIM TEST

All children age 13 and under must take a swim test before entering any swimming pools at the YMCA of Metropolitan Chattanooga. This video will walk you and your child through each step of the swim test, demonstrating what they'll need to do to pass the swim test.
